Today there are no grounds for possible recognition of parliamentary elections in Ukraine as undemocratic.
This was stressed by the Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Volodymyr Lytvyn answering the journalist?s questions on Thursday. "There no ground for such pessimistic claims today," he said.
The Chairman of the Parliament believes that international observers "will analyze, control and monitor the process of electoral campaign and not participation or nonparticipation of individual persons in the electoral process".
V.Lytvyn noted that he would not like "the mood of despondency being inspired today". He expressed a wish that all the citizens who have the right to vote "will make their conscientious and responsible choice". "This will be the choice of the country after which the will of the people should be realized," he added.
